Dumpster rentalon Maui.
Roll-off bins for homeowners, contractors, roofers and property managers across Maui. Dropped when you need it, pulled when it's full.
How much is a dumpster rental on Maui?
A Hawaii Hauling roll-off bin is $950, plus whatever the landfill charges for the weight, billed at cost with the scale receipt on your invoice. Tonnage usually runs $400 to $800 for a full bin. Send a photo of the job and we'll tell you the size and the price for free. We drop it, you fill it, we haul it away. Bins come in 15, 20 and 30 yards.
Bins delivered island-wide: Central, South, West and Upcountry Maui.
Plus what the dump charges.
Tonnage is billed at cost, straight off the landfill scale, and the receipt comes with your invoice. Most loads land between $400 and $800 depending on weight.
Roll-off bins,
three sizes.
We drop it, you fill it, we haul it away. Not sure which one? Send a photo of the job and we'll tell you.
15 yard
Smaller cleanouts, renovations, yard projects and household junk.
20 yard
The all-rounder. Big cleanouts, remodels and construction debris.
30 yard
Major construction, whole-property cleanouts and high-volume debris.
Renting a bin, start to finish.
For homeowners doing it themselves and contractors on a deadline.
How it works, and how the price is built
Tell us the job and send a photo. We pick the size with you, drop the bin where you want it (driveway, job site, the spot where the lawn is already dead), and come back for it when it's full. You pay $950 for the bin and the landfill's tonnage at cost, off the scale ticket. No guessing, no "estimated weight". The receipt is yours.
Rather not do the loading? That's junk removal, where we fill it for you.
Which size bin do I need?
| Size | Good for |
|---|---|
| 15 yard | Smaller cleanouts, renovations, yard projects and household junk |
| 20 yard | The all-rounder: big cleanouts, remodels and construction debris |
| 30 yard | Major construction, whole-property cleanouts and high-volume debris |
Every size is $950 plus tonnage. If you're not sure, it's probably the 20. It takes a kitchen or bath demo, a big garage cleanout, or a small remodel without the bin sitting half empty. Still not sure? Send a photo of the job and we'll tell you.
Contractors, roofers and job sites
Most of our bins go to contractors, and roofers are our favorite bin customers. We have roofing companies moving two to three bins a week with us. A crew fills one in about two days, we swap it, and the next one's waiting at the next address. For job site hauling where we do the loading, see construction debris removal.
We're a small outfit with our own bins, so the honest note: when it's busy, ask early and we'll tell you straight what's free and when. We'd rather say "Thursday" than say "sure" and not show.
Built around the landfill
- The Central Maui Landfill is in Puʻunēnē, open Monday to Saturday, 6am to 3pm, closed Sundays (per Maui County).
- Construction debris is weekdays only, before 1pm. Not Saturdays, not holidays. Show up at 1:15 with a truck of drywall and you're driving it home.
- Maui has no county bulky-item pickup. Nobody from the county is coming for the couch.
- Green waste goes to the green waste yard, never in with the trash, and metal and appliances go to the recycler.
Hours and fees change, so check Maui County's landfill page before you drive. Or don't drive, and call us.
Who shows up
Landen McLaughlin, Lahaina born and raised, plus a small local crew. We started Hawaii Hauling in 2024 with a truck, a trailer and our own roll-off bins, and that's still what we run. When you call, you get one of us, not a call center, and the person you talk to is the person who shows up.
The boring paperwork, because it matters: we're registered with the federal motor carrier office as USDOT 4272899, and the record is clean. No inspections and no crashes in the last two years.

How much does it cost to rent a dumpster on Maui?
$950 a bin, plus the landfill tonnage at cost. Tonnage usually runs $400 to $800 for a full bin, and the scale receipt comes with your invoice.
What size dumpster do I need?
A 15 yard handles a garage, a small remodel or a yard project. A 20 yard is the all-rounder for a big cleanout or a kitchen or bath demo. A 30 yard is for major construction and whole-property jobs.
Do I need a permit for a dumpster on Maui?
On your own driveway, no. If a bin needs to sit on a county road or sidewalk, ask us first.
What can't go in a dumpster?
Liquids, wet paint, hazardous chemicals, propane tanks, car batteries, whole tires and anything with refrigerant. Anything the landfill rejects comes back out.
How long can I keep the bin?
Tell us the job when you book and we'll agree the rental period up front. Roofing jobs usually turn a bin around in about two days.
Can you drop a bin today?
Short notice is what we do. Call and we'll tell you straight away when a bin can be there.
